Google Analytics 4
for eCommerce

Universal Analytics will cease in July 2023 - start mastering Google's latest data platform to grow your online revenue.

Data literacy is essential to growing an eCommerce business.

Google Analytics is the gold standard for online data.

However, Google has recently announced that they will be sunsetting Universal Analytics on July 1 2023. The time to prepare is now.

What is Google Analytics 4?

GA4 is the latest version of Google Analytics. If you setup a GA account prior to October 14, 2020, you will be on a version of Google Analytics known as Universal Analytics. Google has announced this version will cease to operate by mid 2023 - so the time to act is now.

GA4 offers a fresh new structure and new features including:

  • An events-driven foundation that increases the accuracy of online reporting

  • Enhanced customisation, so you can slice and dice your data to work for your business

  • Intelligent insights and customer lifetime value calculations

  • Better user identification and cross-tracking between devices

Google Analytics 4 for eCommerce

Learn the latest version of Google Analytics, specifically for eCommerce professionals.*

*Not data-scientists.

Get set up - the right way.

It’s essential to get setup on GA4 as quickly as possible to gather data now and reduce the manual handling you’ll face in the future. I walk you through accurate Shopify store setup, step-by-step. If you’re not on Shopify, I’ll point you to other options.

Learn the latest.

GA4 looks a lot different to UA and it functions differently too - I’ll not only take you on a tour of the platform but showcase real examples of ways you can use GA4’s new data features to grow your business.

Customise GA for your store.

One of the best functions of GA4 is the ability to build ‘explorations’ which help you better understand your data and gather actionable insights. I’ll show you the most valuable explorations for eCommerce stores to put into action.

Attribution, Audiences & More

We’ll cover all the same basic (and not so basic) concepts from my original course, updated for the latest version. A bit has changed and evolved, and I’ll show you how you can use the new audiences feature to your advantage and understand attribution models and user paths for more high quality traffic.

Contextualise GA.

There’s no ability to import historical data from our old version of GA into GA4 (bummer) - but we know context is everything and year-on-year reporting gives us real insights. I’ll show you how you can reconcile these two data sources so you minimise interruptions in your analytics.

PLUS: Data Studio Dashboards for GA4

You'll get access to my most valuable and popular Google Data Studio dashboards, newly improved and updated for GA4 - so you can design amazing analytics dashboards and take the manual work out of reporting.

These are the same dashboards I use in my own consulting business!

I’m your teacher, Kate

I’m not a data scientist or a developer - I’m an eCommerce nerd and growth marketer obsessed with data-based insights that make a real difference to online stores’ bottom line. I love getting my hands dirty, collaborating with experts and moving strategies out of the inbox and into action.

Over the last 6 years, I’ve built a consulting business directly growing the online revenues of Nimble Activewear, The Daily Edited and Kat the Label anywhere between 50-250% in a single year. Google Analytics, Data Studio and other analytics platforms are absolutely central to my day-to-day. I spend most days deep in Google Analytics, searching for nuggets of data that bring context to events and uncovering insights for growth.

If my 12 years in digital have taught me anything, it’s this: Understanding your data is what separates the ‘coasters’ from the high-growth brands that are dominating eCommerce today. I believe that whilst Google Analytics can seem overwhelming, once build up your confidence in using it, you’ll be addicted. Dare I say it, data can even be fun. Whether you’re a business owner, strategist, designer or even a developer, I will teach you how to unlock real insights from your data that will help you make better decisions every day.

Clients are always asking me for Google Analytics training resources, but I struggled to find them a decent online course that was specifically designed for eCommerce. So in 2020, armed with sweatpants and endless hours in lockdown, I built a course called Google Analytics for eCommerce.

This brand new course focuses on the latest version, GA4.

Start transitioning to GA4 now

GA4 is a brand new platform. The sooner you setup a new account, the less manual handling you’ll have to do for historical comparisons and the less interrupted your business’ reporting will be.
